The botanical name for saffron is Crocus Sativus. Saffron’s coloring power is mainly produced by Crocin which is a soluble agent in water, because of which saffron is widely used as a colorant in food and medicine.
Off lately many medicinal benefits of Saffron extract have been found by experts. Saffron can be used for many medicinal purposes like gastro genial ailments, cancer suppressing, anti-mutagenic.
